About the Classes

Our 7-11 drama classes are a fun, creative space where children can develop their acting skills, share their ideas and work together with others. Your child can join a one-hour class on Mondays, 5pm to 6pm, at Merton Park Primary School, or our three-hour Saturday Performing Arts Programme at St Mary's Church Hall. Both are packed with drama games and storytelling, along with singing and movement. All our classes are led by our friendly, DBS-checked teachers.

What your child will do

  • Explore characters and situations through role-play and scripted work
  • Develop their own ideas, with opportunities to devise scenes or pieces
  • Take part in songs, dances and movement-based drama games
  • Work with other children on activities linked to a different termly theme

What your child will gain

  • Speaking clearly, listening and responding to others
  • Better concentration through creative tasks
  • The confidence to share ideas and work as part of a group
  • A regular creative outlet and the chance to make new friends

Children work on scripts as well as exploring their own ideas, learning how to bring a story to life, shape a scene and share it with an audience.

My daughter has been attending weekly drama classes with Reflect for the past 5 years and she absolutely loves it. Kirsty is a wonderful teacher and coach, making sure all the kids feel welcomed and valued, regardless of age or ability. The productions that get put on throughout the year are always fabulous events, for kids and adults alike.

My daughters both attend reflect productions drama club and it has done wonders for their confidence. The eldest has been attending for 9 years and given the choice between reflect and another local group, she picked reflect. My youngest has trouble speaking in public and thanks to the nurture and perseverance of the team she can say her lines in front of the audience. I can't recommend them enough.

Highly Recommend!! Fantastic classes in drama which also contain lots of singing and dancing. The teaching is superb and the quality of end of term shows and big scale productions is of a really high standard. Much prefer this over Stagecoach or similar schools as at Reflect they create a far nicer supportive, caring atmosphere where the main focus is the development of key life skills such as building confidence!
