Shows & Productions
Our shows are always a highlight for our students and their families!
Taking part in a production gives children something exciting to work towards together. Our shows are a chance for families to see everything their children have been learning in class.
Previous productions
- Neverland
- Alice in Wonderland
- A Visit from Mary Poppins
- Annie JR
Our work also includes different termly themes, from comedy and cabaret to fairytales and fables. Some projects focus on a group production, while others give students opportunities to develop individual pieces.
What taking part involves
A performance begins with preparation. Students explore the material, develop characters, learn words or songs and rehearse with others. They practise listening for cues, remembering their part and contributing to the work of the group.
Along the way, children build confidence, concentration and teamwork, and find out how rewarding it is to work towards something and share it with an audience.
Weekly classes and holiday projects
Monday drama classes run for ages 3-6, 7-11 and 12-17 at Merton Park Primary School. Our Saturday Performing Arts Programme runs at St Mary’s Church Hall, combining separate acting, singing and dance sessions with preparation for end-of-term performances.
Holiday projects offer another way to take part. Our spring programme works towards staging a musical, while summer projects have explored plays, Shakespeare and musical productions.
Our classes are in Merton Park, Wimbledon SW19, right on the Morden border, so do come and join us!
What Parents Say
Highly Recommend!! Fantastic classes in drama which also contain lots of singing and dancing. The teaching is superb and the quality of end of term shows and big scale productions is of a really high standard. Much prefer this over Stagecoach or similar schools as at Reflect they create a far nicer supportive, caring atmosphere where the main focus is the development of key life skills such as building confidence!
Great local drama club which both of our children have attended for many years. The admin is organised, responsive and professional and the shows are amazing. We will look forward to showing their shows to them in the future!
My daughter has been attending weekly drama classes with Reflect for the past 5 years and she absolutely loves it. Kirsty is a wonderful teacher and coach, making sure all the kids feel welcomed and valued, regardless of age or ability. The productions that get put on throughout the year are always fabulous events, for kids and adults alike.
My daughter has been doing performing arts with Reflect Production for nearly a year. I can see that she blossoms very quickly since she joined the reflect. She is now so passionate about drama, dance and singing. She even enrolled both Monday Drama and Saturday Performing Arts classes as she enjoyed so much being with reflect. Summer Oliver Jr was stunning and my daughter loved every second of it. I can't give enough thank you to Kristy, Anabelle, Leyton and other reflect teachers too as you all are so wonderful, skillful and helpful to all the students. Loads of love from Valentina <3
My son and daughter attend Reflect Saturday morning classes and really enjoy the acting, singing and dancing. Both have gained so much confidence and learnt how to express themselves onstage. They’ve made lovely new friends and enjoy learning tips and tricks from the Reflect team. As parents, we absolutely love seeing the results of their hard work in the end of term shows. Thanks to Kirsty and team for the great classes.
We discovered Reflect Productions at the start of the first lockdown. To say that these lessons, as well as the martial arts sister school, we’re the foundations of sanity and joy during those times is an understatement! In less than two years, peppered with lockdowns, isolation and reunions, we have seen the children deliver incredible performances, build beautiful friendship, learn excellent, core transferable skills and distinctions in two sets of LAMDA exams! No other school has managed a smidge of this during this time. Where others have used covid as an excuse for stepping back, Kirsty and her team have stepped up their game to deliver even more magic to children desperately in need of it and parents aching for something wonderful in times they’ve not been able to provide it. I teach teachers at UCL. If one in every hundred became as dedicated and thoughtful and committed and kind to their students as every one of the teachers are in this performing arts school, I’d be besides myself with gladness! As for my daughters opinion “if I had to skip every class I have and playtimes, I would to be able to carry on doing my performing arts classes”.
Both of my children love joining the holiday programmes at Reflect Production. They always get so involved and excited! It’s amazing to see how much they grow and develop in just two short weeks. Watching their performances is always so touching and emotional. Even long after the programme ends, they still remember the songs and stories so fondly. A big thank you to all the teachers for their passion, dedication and hard work in creating such wonderful and memorable experiences for my children. ❤️
